It's spring cleaning time for the town as Pickup Posse re-emerges, along with the crocus and tulips.

I am writing today because I need a little favor if at all possible. The Ventnor "Pickup Posse" has announced their next event which is going to be a beach cleanup scheduled for this Saturday, April 25. (Rain date is the following day.)

The “North Beach” (our new name) Residents Committee would like to show all of Ventnor that “we” are involved in our Community and we would like to make a good showing of our presence. If you can possibly lend a hand for about 2 hours it would sincerely be appreciated.

Anyone interested in participating should meet at the pavilion located on Newport Avenue and the Boardwalk at 10:00AM. Family and friends are welcome to participate. Any and all ages. Eco-friendly trash bags will be supplied. Bring gloves to wear.

It would be great if we had a large turnout from the "North Beach" Ventnor residents so we can spruce up our section of the beach for the summer season.

Our “North Beach” Committee has been working on a Spring mailing that will introduce our residents to “10 Things That You May Not Know About Ventnor”. We have also been working with the residents in our neighborhood to make sure our properties are being brought up to snuff. We are tired of being looked at as the bad guys in town.

I have also been working on obtaining hanging flower pots that will be hung up and down on Atlantic and Ventnor Avenues from Jackson to Littlerock Avenue. You get one chance to make a good first impression and we want to shine when people enter Ventnor from Atlantic City direction.

Let me know if you think you can give us 2 hours. Much more to come from the North Beach residents Committee. Next North Beach Committee meeting is Tuesday May 5th at 6:30 PM at the Ventnor Library. PLEASE, get involved in your Community.

Thumbs up POSSE Rides! Last Night ...

From e-mail:

Quote:
Thank you everyone who came out for the cleanup of the "Nights in Ventnor Go Green" sites.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a very clean and well manicured Ventnor Boathouse site.

Kudos to the Ventnor Public works area for doing a great job and delivering all the "Go Green" equipment early.

We then moved on the the Dorset Avenue Boat ramp to find that in pretty good shape also. What a great surprise!

Thank you everyone for the hour well spent.

Thumbs up MEDAL OF HONOR: Peter

Early Greening Program!

The Pickup Posse's youngest and most enthusiastic member, Peter Kazanzoglou, received an honorable mention from the Posse for picking up the most bottle caps during the Fall Beach sweep on October 24th.

Peter collected so many caps he was awarded the "Bottle Cap badge" - seen below on his Power Ranger belt.

Thank you Peter and keep it GREEN and clean!
